Each weeknight Delilah takes your requests, dedications, your messages of love, inspiration, hardships, and a “Delilah’s Dilemma” or two, on Sunny 99.9, here in El Paso. Whether you're seeking friendship, love, forgiveness or just a place to relax and unwind, Delilah is here to smooth off the rough edges of your day, and add a note of peace and serenity to your evenings. Share Your Dilemma with Delilah.
I have two daughters who are planning to flee the coop soon. They will both graduate this June, and God-willing, they will both attend college next fall. I am excited and a little sad about all of it…but since I still have six children
left at home, I am far from having an empty nest.
My daughter Angel is a senior this year and it was only 6 years ago that I adopted her and brought her home from West Africa where she lived in a refugee camp. She was just a girl living on the streets when I met her, surviving horrific conditions. She had never set foot into a school. She didn’t know how to read or write.
Now Angel is working towards graduating and aspires to be a doctor one day. I cannot express how deeply proud I am of her and of how far she has come, and how far she is willing to go to change the world for good. It hasn’t always
been easy reasoning with a young woman who has such an
independent-survivalist-been-taking-care-of-myself kind of background. But it’s amazing what love, nurturing, food, education and patience can do in the life of a child. Angel has flourished into a beautiful, spirited, intelligent young
Many of my kids have overcome amazing obstacles at young ages. Some of my kids were adopted out of the foster system where they were terribly abused, but they
don’t use those problems as an excuse not to succeed. As adults now, they are using their past as motivation to change their world and give their children stable and loving homes.
My kids inspire me to try harder, and I hope their stories resonate with you. I hope you are pouring your love into another human being today, be it your spouse, your children, your grandchildren, or your friends. Do something to share your heart. And choose to use the obstacles in your life as motivation; choose to see them as stepping stones to a better situation.
Let your faith be bigger than your struggles and your fear.

Who Are You.....
(Moon Image, Courtesy of: http://cs.astronomy.com/asy/m/sunandmoon/428809.aspx)
When you look up at the moon, who are you thinking of? Is there someone you are wishing was with you... right now... as you look at the Moon & Stars. Or, perhaps there's someone you know IS looking up at that same Moon & Stars... and perhaps you'd like to re-connect with them. Perhaps, even, these heavenly stars above are keeping your hearts bound together, across distance... perhaps someone on the other side of the city tonight... or, even the other side of the state or country.
Click on the Moon Image, above, and e-mail us your story... what are you thinking about... and feeling, when you see the Moon & Stars overhead tonight... while listening to these Love Songs on the show. I look forward to hearing from you & sharing your messages, via the airwaves.
See you tonight on the radio :)

Do you want to make it look like you put in a lot of effort to impress your sweetheart, without actually spending a lot of time doing it? Well, you’ve come to the right place because today I have a sweet treat you can whip up in no time at all. Cupid’s Cake will be a sure hit among your family, your friends, your co-workers, and particularly your sweetheart...
1 box (16 ounces) angel food cake mix
Red food coloring
2 containers (12 ounces each) fluffy white frosting
Optional: red, pink or white sprinkles, heart-shaped sprinkles
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
Spoon 2 cups batter into a medium bowl, and tint pink with 2 drops red food
coloring. Spoon 1/3 of white batter into an ungreased angel food cake pan. Drop 3 large spoonfuls of pink batter onto the white. Cover with another 1/3 of white batter, then drop remaining spoonfuls of pink batter on top. Spoon remaining 1/3 of white batter into pan, then give a swirl through the batter with a spoon to marble the white and pink together. Bake and cool as directed on package. Transfer to a serving plate.
2. In bowl, combine frosting and tint light pink with a few drops of red food coloring. Frost cake using a small spatula, swirling frosting on cake with the tip of the spatula. Add sprinkles if desired.

On this show, you will hear me talking about adoptions a lot..... either my own adoptions of special needs kids.... or the adoption process in general. We have a lot of wonderful listeners who write in and call in with their experiences... and blessings with this process, as well as some hardships and sadness. We cover all ends of this topic here on the show.... and it is a topic near and dear to my heart.
Tonight after 9:20pm I will share a Message Board Post that came in to the show from Rosemary, she was taken back after hearing of my work with adoptions... and shared her love for what I've done for my kids.... and what SHE has done, for the 2 kids she adopted.... who are now adults. These 2 kids are the love of her life... they are the sunshine in Rosemary's heart. We will celebrate them, and her love for them, as well as the love adoptive partents have for their precious ones, tonight, after 9:20pm.
I'll find a special song, for this family at home tonight... and yours as well... no matter how big or small, we will celebrate all that we are thankful for. Tune in for that on this Friday night and share your thoughts, feelings and messages on my Interactive Message Board all evening long, I love hearing from you.
