Do you want to make it look like you put in a lot of effort to impress your sweetheart, without actually spending a lot of time doing it? Well, you’ve come to the right place because today I have a sweet treat you can whip up in no time at all. Cupid’s Cake will be a sure hit among your family, your friends, your co-workers, and particularly your sweetheart...
1 box (16 ounces) angel food cake mix
Red food coloring
2 containers (12 ounces each) fluffy white frosting
Optional: red, pink or white sprinkles, heart-shaped sprinkles
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
Spoon 2 cups batter into a medium bowl, and tint pink with 2 drops red food
coloring. Spoon 1/3 of white batter into an ungreased angel food cake pan. Drop 3 large spoonfuls of pink batter onto the white. Cover with another 1/3 of white batter, then drop remaining spoonfuls of pink batter on top. Spoon remaining 1/3 of white batter into pan, then give a swirl through the batter with a spoon to marble the white and pink together. Bake and cool as directed on package. Transfer to a serving plate.
2. In bowl, combine frosting and tint light pink with a few drops of red food coloring. Frost cake using a small spatula, swirling frosting on cake with the tip of the spatula. Add sprinkles if desired.

On this show, you will hear me talking about adoptions a lot..... either my own adoptions of special needs kids.... or the adoption process in general. We have a lot of wonderful listeners who write in and call in with their experiences... and blessings with this process, as well as some hardships and sadness. We cover all ends of this topic here on the show.... and it is a topic near and dear to my heart.
Tonight after 9:20pm I will share a Message Board Post that came in to the show from Rosemary, she was taken back after hearing of my work with adoptions... and shared her love for what I've done for my kids.... and what SHE has done, for the 2 kids she adopted.... who are now adults. These 2 kids are the love of her life... they are the sunshine in Rosemary's heart. We will celebrate them, and her love for them, as well as the love adoptive partents have for their precious ones, tonight, after 9:20pm.
I'll find a special song, for this family at home tonight... and yours as well... no matter how big or small, we will celebrate all that we are thankful for. Tune in for that on this Friday night and share your thoughts, feelings and messages on my Interactive Message Board all evening long, I love hearing from you.

You heard me talking about this on the show last night AND tonight as well... earlier my family and I were featured on Television's CBS This Morning program... and below, is the video for you to enjoy on this Valentine's Night in case you didn't get a chance to watch earlier... enjoy.
Are you still trying to think of some clever ways to impress your sweetheart, or even your kids this Valentine’s Day? You see, I have over a dozen Valentines and most of them are teenagers and younger. So I like to come up with ways we can celebrate as a family. Here are some great ideas that have worked for me and have come in from listeners in the past… Have a beach bonfire. If you don’t have a beach nearby, pack a picnic dinner and go somewhere else where you can stargaze.
Get busy in the kitchen. Bake a giant cookie and write I love you in chocolate chips. Make her favorite breakfast delivered to her in bed. If you don’t have time that morning, make breakfast in bed for dinner! Remember, it’s the ambiance that matters. Light candles, play music, add a single flower in a vase to the presentation.
Reschedule for the weekend. Since Valentine’s Day is on a weeknight, ask your sweetheart on a formal date for the weekend. Plan to go sledding, hiking, to the zoo…do something that really charges your spirit.
Make chocolate-covered strawberries for your love. Melt 16 oz. milk chocolate chips and 2 Tbsp. shortening. Dip ¾ of strawberry into chocolate and lay on wax paper to cool and harden. Dip in coconut shavings, chopped nuts or sprinkles for added fun.
Host a game night. Dust off your Charades and invite another couple to join you. Or make this a family affair with the kids! Pop some popcorn, make those chocolate-covered strawberries and have a ball.
Create a scavenger hunt. In the house. In the park. In the town. Wherever you have the time and energy to do it. Hide everything from love notes to candy to old photos in new frames…the possibilities are endless.
If you are a last-minute planner, these are some really easy ways you can make a big impression on your Valentine. Another way you can show your love is by saying it with a song. Call me with a song request, 1-800-222-1067, post it on my Interactive Message Board , text me at 48484 or e-mail Producer David tonight, he's checking all of the e-mails that come in at: David@delilah.com .... there are plenty of ways you can get in touch with me!
I'll see you on the air tonight at 7pm, for the show... as we prepare for Valentine's Day together!!
With Love.... Delilah <3
