LINDSAY LOHAN: Probation Revoked

Posted: Wednesday 10:38AM Dec. 12, 2012 PST

Lindsay Lohan has had her probation revoked by a Los Angeles judge and will now learn when -- not "if" -- she'll be reporting to prison.

Commissioner Jane Godfrey apparently got fed up with Lindsay's constant flaunting of the law and dropped the bombshell this morning at a hearing -- which Lohan did not attend. The hearing was initially to be an arraignment on reckless driving charges from her Porsche wreck last year, but was expanded to include her jewelry theft case -- the one she was already on probation for.

With the probation revoked, LiLo must appear in court on January 15th to find out how much jail time she'll serve -- the max being 245 days.

12/12/12: Six Hours of Music to Raise Money (audio)

Posted: Wednesday 10:54PM Dec. 12, 2012 PST

12/12/12: A Concert for Sandy Relief spanned six hours at New York's Madison Square Garden Wednesday night. Kanye West played the most songs, while Alicia Keys was given the honor of being the last artist to sing.

Chris Rock joked during his time on stage that "We've raised so much money tonight, it's been fixed. Jay-Z fixed all of Staten Island." Rock then said, "Here's the very humble Kanye West." West ran through 11 songs in under 20 minutes, doing shortened versions such jams as "Stronger," "Touch the Sky," "Jesus Walks" and "Power," to an audience that was less than enthusiastic. Ye mentioned that he had "friends that was displaced, and I let them stay at my place." He added "This is an emotional night for me." He didn't seem to happy at the end of set, walking off after doing a mic drop.

Diddy was on stage to talk about the workers that helped evacuate two New York hospitals after the storm, and then introduced "a close friend of mine" Alicia Keys. She played solo piano to do "Brand New Me" and changed the last line to "its a brand new time for the city." The native New Yorker then told the crowd "I love my city, tonight we celebrate love and celebrate life. So I need you to help make Madison Square Garden light up." She then requested people take out the cell phones and wave them by singing "put your cell phones in the air, help me celebrate love, help me celebrate life." She then did "No One," working in those lyrics repeatedly. Keys came back on at the very end of the to do the finale of "Empire of State of Mind."

Also performing were Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Coldplay's Chris Martin (with special guest, R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe), The Who, Eric Clapton, Roger Waters and the show closer Paul McCartney.

An all-star roster of celebrities manned the telethon phone bank backstage at the Garden, with Billy Crystal, Jon Stewart, Brian Williams, Kristen Stewart, Susan Saradon, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Olivia Wilde, Steve Buscemi, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx introducing artists as well as clips about the devastation caused by Sandy.

Lindsay Lohan can't resist the lure of the club scene -- and even her handlers are getting sick of it.

New York's Daily News reports that Lindsay had her driver tool over to New York's hopping SL club, only to have longtime assistant Gavin Doyle beg her not to go in. He reportedly rolled down the window and yelled, "You shouldn't go to a club right now," to which she snottily replied, "Don't tell me what to do!"

The witness described Lohan as "wasted."

JENNIFER ANISTON: Turns Back on Sick Mom

Posted: Wednesday 09:28AM Dec. 12, 2012 PST

Hollywood beauty Jennifer Aniston is showing her ugly side -- by completely ignoring her seriously ill mom, who's stuck in a Los Angeles hospital.

Radar Online is reporting that Nancy Dow entered the hospital on November 6th after taking a bad fall at her home, then suffering a stroke while trying to rehabilitate the injury, putting her in what's described as "a very fragile state." According to a family friend, "Jen hasn’t talked to or visited Nancy once since she was admitted. She should’ve been there for the shoulder surgery alone! And the stroke is really serious. Nancy is an old lady, and she’s very sick. It’s breaking her heart that Jen is ignoring her.”

The pair have been estranged for more than a decade, over a tell-all book that Dow wrote in 1999.

GEORGE W. BUSH: Back to the Bottle?

Posted: Wednesday 09:40AM Dec. 12, 2012 PST

Former president George W. Bush has reportedly fallen off the wagon over worries about the rapidly failing health of his ex-president dad.

Take this one for what it's worth, but the National Enquirer is reporting that Dubya, who had years of sobriety under his belt by the time he was elected to the presidency, has been hitting the bottle hard in the wake of George H.W. Bush's series of hospitalizations.

A so-called source says, "While the elder Bush tells everyone he’s not going anywhere, there’s a sad belief his days are numbered. And no one has taken it harder than ‘W.’ While he’s worked hard to maintain his sobriety, it’s no secret he’s severely depressed over the thought of losing his father and has knocked back a few drinks in recent weeks while at his ranch. No one wants to see him fall off the wagon for good.”

Lindsay Lohan may bypass rehab altogether -- and be forced into a mental hospital.

According to the National Enquirer, Lindsay's inner circle wants to have her declared at least temporarily incapable of dealing with her own affairs -- and have her committed. Besides her reported drinking and drugging, insiders point to increasingly odd behavior, with one source saying she’s pulling out clumps of her hair and talking to herself constantly.

Sarah Palin's son Track is hitting the skids -- with his marriage, that is. The oldest of the Palin clan filed for divorce yesterday in Alaska without indicating a cause for the split.

By Alaska law, Track and his soon-to-be-ex-wife Britta had to come to court with all the little details about property and child custody ironed out beforehand, making for a much simpler, if less entertaining, case. The couple, who married last year, were forced to watch a 48-minute video about the impact of a failed marriage on their year-old daughter Kyla.

PAUL McCARTNEY, NIRVANA: A Reunion Tonight

Posted: Wednesday 07:25AM Dec. 12, 2012 PST

Could Paul McCartney be standing in for the late Kurt Cobain for a Nirvana reunion tonight?

That's what the U.K. tabloid The Sun is reporting, claiming that McCartney suggested to Dave Grohl that they get together and “just make something up” for the 12-12-12 Sandy benefit tonight (Wednesday) at New York's Madison Square Garden. The Sun says Grohl suggested they jam with some of his friends and that McCartney found himself playing with Grohl on drums, Krist Novoselic on bass and Nirvana touring guitarist (and Foo Fighters guitarist) Pat Smear.

The paper quotes McCartney as saying, "I didn’t really know who they were. They are saying how good it is to be back together. I said ‘Whoa? You guys haven’t played together for all that time?' And somebody whispered to me, ‘That’s Nirvana. You’re Kurt.’ I couldn’t believe it.”

Whether this report is true won't be known until McCartney closes the show tonight. We can confirm that Grohl is playing one song tonight with McCartney, but we don't know who else will be performing with them. And this wouldn't be the first time Grohl, Novoselic and Smear have played together since the '90s -- Novoselic joined Foo Fighters on stage at two shows back in 2011.

Mick Jagger's love life has always been big news -- and memorabilia from it just sold for big money. That collection of love letters the Rolling Stones frontman sent then-galpal Marsha Hunt in 1969 sold at auction for just over $300,000 -- twice what it was expected to bring. Sotheby's of London says Jagger sent the 10 handwritten notes while on location in Australia filming the movie Ned Kelly.

Hunt, the mother of Mick's oldest daughter Karis, is thought to be the inspiration for the Stones' 1971 hit "Brown Sugar."
